Today I called Carnival because someone on my sailing was canceling their FTTF. I wanted to know how long it would take to show up online to purchase since our FTTF is sold out.

 

She said it may not be re-sold, depending on the number of people already booked for the cruise. I had her clarify that even though it was sold originally, it may not be opened up again to be sold. Strange.

They might have sold a limited number of them based on the amount of platinum/diamonds that they estimated would be sailing and if more ended up sailing, they might be oversold on the benefits to both groups.
