Why is the Sunshine late?

Sunshine still docked in NOLA http://portno.com/cruise-webcam and it's after 4 pm. Seems like Carnival is usually late leaving NOLA and wondering why?

It's not unusual to leave a little late, I just got off of a B2B cruise out of Tampa and they both left late, and do did the next one I watched leave.

Fll has been slow. Tried to see Allure, but it looked like something from a Sci Fi movie with the fog. Still a ship there, I think it's Freedom. Waters very choppy.

Still a Carnival ship in Miami, too. After 5:30 here on the East coast and they should have left at 4:00 ET. I think it's the Conquest?

I've noticed more ships leaving later than in the past. Carnival Freedom just left FLL, Conquest is still in POM. Last night RCI's Independence of the Seas didn't leave until a little before 8. MSC's Divina and another cruise ship left late from Miami as well.

 

Not sure what the deal is.

A few weeks back we were on the fascination and we didn't leave till 5:30-6.

We got off today with zone 4. Didn't make it to my car in parking garage until 11 So many people were already waiting to get on the ship the garage was a mad house with people parking places they weren't suppose to.

It was just like you described one time when we waited til 5pm to board Triumph in NOLA because the previous cruise was late getting in that morning. The ship left while we were at dinner--around 6:30. We had no other problems and still made it to the scheduled stops two days later.

Our cruise on the Conquest in May was late departing and finally left port around 6 pm. It isn't unusual.

Just saw on the news that the weather in the gulf isn't great right now. Could be part of the problem. Not a nice week, weather wise to be leaving on a cruise. Hope it gets better as they move south.

So that would make it a 7:35 pm departure time. New Orleans is central time zone....an hour behind EST
