Zaandam aft cabins on Deck 7 (Cabin 7086)

We have this cabin on hold before confirming our booking. There's a lot on the boards about these 'secret' cabins which I've been reading. One poster says there was a lot of vibration in this cabin on the Amsterdam.

Can anyone who been in this cabin (or other aft cabins on deck 7) on the Zaandam tell us if you can feel any vibration in these aft cabins? And if so, how bad is it? Many thanks.

Can't speak from experience with the Zaandam, but was in 7056 on the Amsterdam (identical cabin) in 2010 (and will be in it again in May of 2014;)). LOVED it. Noticed zero vibration being on the aft. Just those amazing wake views and the "secret deck" right outside my cabin door.

That's a great cabin - not much vibration there, although there is on the aft on the lower decks. This is, indeed, one of the "secret cabins" but has been re-priced in the last year or so to reflect the advantages. I would take it - that little deck area is seldom used by anyone else except the occupants of the cabin next door. It's like having your own balcony.

Startwin - curious here, do you know how this particular cabin on the Zaandam has been re-priced? Did it go up in category or down?

I ask because I was very pleasantly surprised to see that the sister cabin on the Amsterdam (7056) went from a DD to an H, therefore the cost was much less than some of the oceanview cabins on lower decks. Wonder if the same happened for this Zaandam cabin in the same location? or if it was repriced at a higher fare? I personally love these cabins and feel they are a terrific bargain and a great alternative when the cost of a balcony cabin is out of reach for me.

It was re-priced higher, either last year or the year before. Incredibly those secret cabins were priced as Insides at one time.

Thanks very much for the replies. I was concerned about vibration as I couldn't sleep with that. But I've been reassured by the posts above so we're going ahead with it. Will be interesting to be in a different part of the ship. We've never had an aft cabin before.
