Lanyards

Can I punch a hole in the cards so I can string them on a lanyard...and not have to get the pouch kind?

I think the casino or guest services can punch the hole but it has been a while since I have been on a ship.... Can anyone back this up or correct me? :D

The kids won't have much choice. I am not carrying their cards around for them. My philosophy is ... you want a room key and a sail card, keep up with it. LOL! Thanks for all the responses. Trying to do as much damage control as possible before we get on the ship on Thursday.

We leave Thursday on Fascination. We have 7 teens/older kids in our party. I am wondering how I will keep up with their room keys and sail cards. Does Camp Carnival give lanyards to them? Any ideas?

Keep her in tip top shape, I get on when you get off!!!

As others have said, we always get them from the casino also.

Have a great time. Btw, soon I'm also cruising with 7 teens/college kids too (14, 19x3, 20, 21, 22). Please let me know if you have any words of wisdom!!:-). Enjoy!!

My son looped his through his belt loop & then through itself. Then the card goes in the pocket, to be whipped out at a moments notice & slid through whatever. Looks cool & doesn't get lost.

And pfffft on buying lanyards on the ship. Hit up Dollar General or the dollar stores!

At the casino - Make sure the kids cards are punched before they have the club sticker on them. We once had an issue.

After DD18 lost here card within the first 30 minutes onboard she has to have it on a lanyard. Usually not around her neck but thru her belt loop or purse.

FWIW I have just used the clip part of the casino lanyard to attach the card to my belt loop.

Make sure you have them punch a hole in it. I have already purchased mine and my cousins for our trip in May and bought ones that fit our personality so we know who's is who when we go to grab them each morning. So if you get the chance to have their own or buy a plain one and have each of them decorate them, themselves. It would be a fun pre-cruise project :). Enjoy your trip

Teens use lanyards for all sorts of things...mainly their car keys. They probably already have a few. Definitely the best way to keep track of your keys. I don't think they would like the stretchy ones from the casino though. Leaving in 11 days and my son is just taking the one normally attached to his keys. With your group, I think I would definitely take my own hole punch. Have fun.

You can get them from the casino but they will all look alike. I make personalized beaded stretchy lanyards. I take 5 or 6 with me on cruises to match my outfits. You could either have the kids make theirs before they go, or, contact me to have some made for the kids to meet their desires. Bethm214 at aol dot com.

My teens and I prefer the plastic spiral stretchy key holders. My teens like wearing them on their ankles, I wear on my wrist. I got them at Walmart. I think they were about $3.50 for a pack of 6 (blue, pink, green & brown). Found in the office supply area with key tags and ID clips.

Free lanyards from the casino are the way to go if you like lanyards. They usually have blue or red. Sometimes they have both. They are plastic and water proof. If one gets stretched out too far or broken. You can get another one for free.

You can purchase them in the ship gift shop. You get one if you do the behind the scenes tour. Some photo shops have free lanyards also.
