Just docked this morning from the 9 day Eastern Caribbean on Explorer. Im not a great writer, so sorry no review but can answer any questions. Here are some highlights though:

We had Aft JS 1694 and OMG it has the best balcony on the ship. Could easily fit 3 lounge chairs, 2 regular chairs and a table. We had some rough weather that made it miserable to be on the upper decks, but we were able to stay warm and dry on the balcony. If you are a balcony person, this is the room for you! The aft balconies below us were all open and we could see right down on them. No cover from the rain on deck 9 balconies at all. Our room was pretty big as well, with walk in closet and full tub.

Our itinerary was:

Labadee

Samana, DR

St Thomas

San Juan, PR

Had a cabana in Labadee, and loved it. People in the cabana next to us said that on previous cruises, they went back to the ship early because it was so hot in Labadee. That's why they booked the cabana this year. It was awesome to have the nice cushioned lounge chairs, and the ceiling fan.

The staff/crew were amazing! Cruise director Leigh and Activities mgr Erkey were the best. Very involved in all activities and hilarious.

Food was great, but I was not crazy about selection in Windjammer at night. Only ate there 2 nights, found stuff to eat but nothing to write home about.

70's night was a blast. Get there early, stand close to the bridge near Cafe promenade for best viewing.

2 formal nights, lobster was only served on 2nd formal night.

Ive only been on Carnival cruises before, and really appreciated that no one was in my face to buy drinks or get my picture taken.

Did not use spa services.

Of course people were saving chairs out on the pool deck, but I never had trouble finding a chair. I had more trouble trying to pick which one I wanted, there were so many open.

Only went in the casino for our Roll Calls slot pull, but it sounded like the machines were not paying out great.

Ate at Johnny Rockets, it was nice but would not do it again. Room service burgers were just as good.

Honey stung chicken is on the room service menu.

Check your room service order before they walk away, in 9 days not 1 order was correct. If it's not delivered within 45 minutes, call them because they sent it to the wrong room!

Ice show was Spirit of the Seasons and as everyone knows, dont miss it! Seating was by muster station but they werent checking.

They started decorating for Xmas on Thanksgiving.

Sorry no Compassess or menus to share :(

I know there is alot that I dont remember, but again I can try to answer any questions. I certainly appreciated everything I learned on CC prior to our trip.
