wrigley80 Posted January 3, 2014 #82 Share Posted January 3, 2014 Hey by chance do you remember if there were steps to get into the pool at Mr. Sanchos?? My dad can't climb a ladder to enter and exit the pool. We will be in Cozumel in April. We were going to go to Paradise Beach but I like the idea of the all-inclusive option at Mr. Sanchos

Lily429 Posted March 6, 2014 #87 Share Posted March 6, 2014 Oh yes, does Cozumel ever get boring?! Maybe, but it hasn’t gotten boring for me yet! I told my mom that DH and I went to Nachi Cocom and I would love to go somewhere like that again. I read up on Mr. Sanchos and decided we should try them this time. First we decided on breakfast! Of course… We walked of the ship and into the Caribbean heat, which I love!! :p My mom needed more batteries for a camera so we stop in one of the stores and then we were on our way to the cab area. Look A Christmas Tree. I believe the cab ride to Mr. Sanchos was $16. The drive was about 15 minutes. Sanchos was just as beautiful as Nachi. Matter of fact, I could see Nachi a little ways down the beach. When we arrived, we were greeted with a lot of whistles. Those guys sure do love to flirt. it's been a while….but out of curiosity, which did you prefer, Nachi or Mr Sanchos? We are a family of 3, me DH and DD, planning on Nachi as we prefer a quieter location….since you have now done both thought you could share the pros and cons of both. We did paradise beach club last time we went….it was a huge disappointment.
cuted126 Posted March 11, 2014 Author #88 Share Posted March 11, 2014 Where in the world have you been? I'm glad you're back to finish your review! LOL, I don't know! I've been just going and going! One day I was like OMG, I never finished my review! It's Spring Break, so I will get back to it! it's been a while….but out of curiosity, which did you prefer, Nachi or Mr Sanchos? We are a family of 3, me DH and DD, planning on Nachi as we prefer a quieter location….since you have now done both thought you could share the pros and cons of both. We did paradise beach club last time we went….it was a huge disappointment. I really prefer Nachi. Me and hubby are talking about doing the Breeze which goes to Cozumel and my first thought was Nachi! They are very similar and even on the same stretch of beach, but Nachi is just better in my opinion. The drinks, the area, the food, everything is just better. cuted126 Posted March 11, 2014 Author #89 Share Posted March 11, 2014 Okay, so it’s been ions since I've written anything and I was only on Belize at that…. Please forgive me. Between being a wife, mother, student and worker, I just forgot I guess. I hate to leave anything undone though. So back to Belize…..I will remember what I can. As I said earlier, the excursion was not for me. I am just too girly, probably too girly for my own good. I left off at the history part of the tour and that was great. They told us how we docked on such a great day since it had been raining for days and days beforehand. Well as soon as we got to the ruins, it POURED. I sat there with my “good” camera and my curled hair, tank top and bedazzled sandals, thinking “WHY Me” lol. We all got off the bus and ran to the bathrooms. There was an overhand and we stood there until the rain let up a bit. There was a guy selling 2 or 3 dollar ponchos and we brought a couple of those. **Side not, those ponchos were great while it was raining, but when it stopped, that thing was hot as the devil! I tried to take a pic of the downpour, but you can't see it Soon after the rain let up, Thank God! The heat return and we were on our way. The guides would give you one complimentary “mosquito wipe” but you had to pay for anymore. The wipes were the size of baby wipes and boy were they needed. I would find that out later!!! Our guide, (who was also on our bus ride) was very knowledgeable about the ruins. He told us tons of history, including how nay bodies had been found at the ruins  to "Hey don't step on the black dirt, that's where the fire ants are!" I was just to paranoid to enjoy myself lol. The fire ant holes were everywhere and not only that, little frogs were jumping around everywhere. I felt like I was invading their homes! You can climb this if you want they said, it's really wet and you could possibly fall, they said I opted for a pic in front of it, after all, I had curled my hair and wore my cute sandals. No need to twist and ankle! Check out the face, with earrings
cuted126 Posted March 11, 2014 Author #90 Share Posted March 11, 2014 The Mayan Calendar was based off of these drawings I really wanted to climb to the top of this ruin. People were screaming "Im the King of the World" when they got up to the top. But no way I would in my sandals. I was drenched and at this point HOT and being severely attacked by mosquitos, but can I tell you guys how happy I was to be on vacation?!?!?! While this place was really small, it was nice and open with beautiful landscape! After being attacked by tons of mosquitos and learning about how many ghost float around this area, I was ready to go  Did you guys know that I LOVE palm trees
cuted126 Posted March 15, 2014 Author #91 Share Posted March 15, 2014 After this downpour, the skies were clear but it was HOT, I mean a special kind of HOT. I don't complain about heat, but I need to let you guys know that it was HOT. That poncho was hell to carry and the trashbag that I had gotten earlier to cover my hair was just stuck to me. The wipes that our tour guides gave us, did not deter those mosquitos at all. So between, running from frogs and fire ants, soggy hair, ponchos being stuck to me, no breakfast and the heat, I was sooooo ready to go. It was pretty cool to feel as if I was in the jungle though. This was our last stop, I forgot what this one was called. They gave us a little info on it and than we were passed a piece of cinnamon leaf. It smelled heavenly and you could chew it if you wanted. The girly girl made it!, No more curls but I made it lol!
cuted126 Posted March 15, 2014 Author #92 Share Posted March 15, 2014 After this last stop, they gave us a few moments to take pics and shop in a small area where I got some Belizean Coca Cola:D On the start of our long journey back to the port, we did a trivia game about the ruins and I won a postcard!! I always win something, anything, besides a ship on a stick:p Isn't it weird how when you are going somewhere, it seems to take forever, but the trip back seems to take no time?! We were back at the port quick!
cuted126 Posted March 15, 2014 Author #93 Share Posted March 15, 2014 And then it was time for this! Sweet Jesus, I could go for one of those right now! Not soon, after we were saying goodbye to Belize! This pic shows one of the reasons I love to be on a cruise ship! Sunsets! I have no dinner pics for this night because we ate as soon as we got back from the ruins and we weren't hungry at dinner. I wanted to go see the show and even though I'd already saw it in September, I wanted to see it again. The show was "Singing with The Big Bands" Starring Christopher Alan Graves. I just love everything about it. Go check it out if you haven't seen it! Bad pic, but I just love this part of the show and the kids are so cute! And yes he granted permission to take pictures of this part! Munchy Afterwards, my mom told me she was going to bed. So I was left to hang out on my own. cuted126 Posted June 26, 2014 Author #95 Share Posted June 26, 2014 Isn't it pitiful that I never finished this review:rolleyes: I got so, so , so, busy with my classes and jobs. Well, at least I got an A for putting all that effort into my classes. I am so OCD that I have to finish this review even though it's months later lol, even if no one reads it lol. I love going back reading reviews, so I must finish:D AND I really hate leaving things undone. It urks the crap out of me! Okay so..... When I left off,my mom has went to bed again. This cruise was sort of like being on a cruise by myself and it wasn't that bad. I caught a late dinner alone in my favorite upstairs area.. How fat is it that I remember how good everything on this plate was:p That Chicken Parmesan is one of my Carnival Favs!! I followed that up with some dessert I remember sitting on Lido for awhile and then I took some pics. I probably checked into the nightclub as well. I mean we damn near missed the ship, I needed to stay up some of the nights and celebrate:D
cuted126 Posted June 26, 2014 Author #96 Share Posted June 26, 2014 Okay, so out of all the places I’ve cruised, I my top 3 places would include Roatan. I LOVE this place. It is so beautiful and green and just beautiful!! Again, my mom does not plan the way I do, so we looked through the excursions book on that day to see what we would do. I told my mom that there was a beach nearby, but to really see the beauty of Roatan, we should venture out. She didn’t really want to go to the beach. Some weird way, probably between stuff being sold out and us being so last minute (which almost gave me a heart attack each day), we ended up choosing Carambola Gardens and Island Tour. Upon going down for breakfast, I saw this. I took this pic just for my husband. If he had been there, he would’ve died lol. He is the ice cream king on cruises. We did have breakfast this day, but I didn’t take any pictures. I probably didn’t take any pictures because there were two passengers who got into a HUGE argument in the omelet line. Security had to be called….. Come on people, we are on vacation!! And look there is shipwreck outside Too beautiful of a place to be in to be having confrontations IMHO We got off the ship and walked to our designated waiting area. It was HOT. I love heat, but it was HOT. We waited for about 30 minutes and then our group was escorted to our buses. It looked as if it would rain. I was hoping not because we had been rained on enough in Belize…. The ride was about 25 minutes to the gardens. Our tour guide was really nice and gave us a lot of information. I cannot remember his name now, but he did a great job.
cuted126 Posted June 26, 2014 Author #97 Share Posted June 26, 2014 When we got to the Gardens, they told us where the bathrooms were (very clean) and then we sat down and listened to a guy speak about the many plants that we would see. It was HOT and humid. I felt like I was in a rainforest and was plants and trees everywhere you looked, it would be hard to find the way out without our guides. Coffee plant Cinnamon And then it started to pour....oh man, not again. This time I had no garbage bag, ponchos or anything. Just me and my beloved camera:eek: One guy was smart, he had an umbrella and I ran under it with him and his wife lol. I am so glad he didn't get mad at me. cuted126 Posted June 26, 2014 Author #98 Share Posted June 26, 2014 A piece of the Cinnamon plant. It smells so good, but I refused to chew it with the rest of the group Beautiful The rain soon stopped. Check out the pretty red flowers in this pic This plant was in a complete spiral, I thought it was kind of cool Our guides stopped and cut up pineapple and many other kinds of fruit from the gardens for us to snack on. I did get some pineapple, but after being rained on and so sticky and hot, I was ready to get back on the bus for the island tour. I think we were in the Gardens for an hour and a half. cuted126 Posted June 26, 2014 Author #99 Share Posted June 26, 2014 Look at the cruise ship coming in on the right side of the pic! The area that we were in looks like the place that all the tourist go. It was a great mixture of locals and tourists with a ton of different restaurants and shopping areas. Along the way, the tour guide talked to us about the price of living in Roatan. I wish I could remember the info he gave us. Gorgeous
cuted126 Posted June 26, 2014 Author #100 Share Posted June 26, 2014 We ended up one of the west bay beaches. Dh and I went to Tabyana beach the last time we were in Roatan and this beach that we stopped at was about a mile away. We had an hour to explore the beach or get some food at the restaurant on the beach. The restaurant was so cute and I loved the swing chairs! I love palm trees I love this island!
