Question about cabanas at Nellie's Beach

We are traveling with our 3 children - 17, 14 & 8 yr old.

I wasn't planning on renting a cabana because we are doing other excursions

but after reading all the wonderful reviews I am reconsidering.

Plus, just found out another ship will be in port the day we are at Labadee.

My husband hates crowded places & we both love shade. My kids will

most likely be in the water all day, with the exception of when

the older ones will be zip lining.

It's hard to tell by the map, but if we rent an over the water cabana,

would we be able to see our kids when they are at the Aqua Park and

when they are just playing in the water (I'm assuming there are designated

areas to swim?) If we can hang out in our cabana and watch them, it would

worth it for us. If we can't see them from our cabana, don't think it's worth it.

Any advise is very much appreciated. Thanks.

If you can't get a cabana...don't fear! There are plenty of shady spots, wherever you wish to be. You can get out of the crowded areas by walking past them....the 1st beach you come to will be the most crowded.

There is a lot of space on Labadee...you don't NEED a cabana to be somewhat secluded. Just thought you might want to know.

No, you can't see Aqua Park from the Cabanas on Nellie's Beach. The Cabanas face Nellie's beach and the Aqua Park in on Columbus Cove, the next beach over from Nellie's. The Cabanas have a solid back and partial sides for privacy. The Cabanas are nice for relaxing inside of. As stated, there are plenty of places on Labadee to get set up in the shade and still be able to see your kids swimming and playing on Aqua Park. You would find a place on Columbus Cove as your central meeting place.
