OCruisers Posted December 6, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 6, 2013 What port? Since it's on the San Juan, PR Board, that's the port. LuLu ~~~~
OCruisers Posted December 6, 2013 #5 Share Posted December 6, 2013 ike201 .... Now I have a question. What is the timing of your port stop in San Juan? LuLu ~~~~~

OCruisers Posted December 6, 2013 #7 Share Posted December 6, 2013 7am to 2 pm With children your port time is so much better than having an afternoon/evening stop. Our grandchildren (about 11 & 16 at the time) enjoyed walking to Fort San Cristobal and roaming around through the tunnels and things there. I thought they would think it was "lame" but they actually liked it. If the ship is offering an excursion to El Yunque Rain Forest that could be another option. Because of the timing, I would stick with the ship's tour if you decide on the Rain Forest. Have fun planning! :)
ike201 Posted December 6, 2013 Author #8 Share Posted December 6, 2013 Thank you! Any beaches you would recommend?
OCruisers Posted December 6, 2013 #9 Share Posted December 6, 2013 For a half day port stop San Juan is not the best place to try to go to the beach or for any other type of water activity. Sorry ... Wish I could be of more help. :o LuLu ~~~~
seashinesunshine Posted December 8, 2013 #10 Share Posted December 8, 2013 There aren't too many beaches close for a short stop, condado is a bus ride away, but its pretty rough. Good for body surfing, and it's not the cleanest beach. To add to what Ocruisers said about the fort and tunnels, check out my youtube video i took in the tunnels not the best video ever, but it will show you what it's like
