disembarking

This may seemed like dumb questions, but I've been early self-debarking for several years and not sure of protocol.

Although the ship docks at 5am we are part of a group transportation and tour Our guide is to meet us at 9am.

If we carry off our luggage but don't want to leave early how do arrange to leave when we want? Can we just walk off when we want, carrying our bag ourselves?

I am not comfortable leaving my bag in the hall and trusting it to be on shore the next morning having had a bag lost the last time I did that several years ago.

If my roommate decides to put her bag out the night before instead of carrying it how does that work- does she ask for a certain time to leave the ship? I sort of recall a form stating what airline/flight but that doesn't apply to this trip since we are staying for a week.
