uglybutgoodbakery Posted December 20, 2013 Author #26 Share Posted December 20, 2013 Today is our last day. I had a great time, but when comparing to our previous 6 cruises out of San Juan on Princess, overall, I feel Celebrity fell short in food and customer service. The Summit is a nice older ship, we'll-maintained, but there is definitely something lacking for me. The "entertainment" was awful, geared towards an older crowd-- and I'm 50, not a kid-- but I don't want to see a tribute to the songs of Barry Manilow, or the 1970s. The nightclub was just ok...if you have a drink package, otherwise an expensive night for a so-so Club. Our sons, 17 and 23 were VERY bored on the Ship. We loved having 10 island stops, which is ultimately Why we chose this cruise. We use the boat as a taxi cab on the Ocean.Next time, I'll look into leaving from San Juan, but on Royal Caribbean Or Carnival. I just don't think Celebrity lived Up to all their own hype. uglybutgoodbakery Posted December 20, 2013 Author #27 Share Posted December 20, 2013 Qzine-- if you like French fried potatoes with tiny ketchup bottles, or shrimp salad served in a light-up cup, or very small portions of mediocre food brought out with a whole lotta talking and hot air, or if you've never seen an iPad before: EAT HERE!! Otherwise, save your money. 50 bucks per person was --- 50$ bucks per person too much. As a chef myself, this was an a true disappointment. Most nights they were empty, shoulda figured out why. :-/
