Do Brits need a visa for USVI or are they covered with mainland USA ESTA?

Hello!

I have travelled to St Thomas twice and have never needed to arrange a separate visa (I have UK passport). As far as I understand it, the only requirements for UK passport holders is that they are only travelling for holiday, transit or business purposes, passports are machine-readable, the stay does not exceed 90 days, a return or onward ticket is held, and they check into the US government ESTA website prior to departure to register.

So, in answer to your question, having the ESTA is sufficient!

Happy travels!

Jo
