We have planned an outing via Carnival to Rendezvous Caye, Belize to do some snorkeling. Can anyone tell us if there are lockers on the island? What's the best thing to do with ship card, cash, etc, one might want to take along, while snorkeling?

Thanks!

No lockers. This is a teeny tiny island. We did this excursion in February. Only our fellow cruisers from the Dream were there, along with the people running the excursion. Only thing there to buy is a small stand that had hamburgers and hotdogs, soda, water, beer. We left our stuff on land as did everyone else. They have 3 snorkel groups; advanced, intermediate, and beginners. You pick which group you want to be in. It's very cool being out in the ocean and that tiny island. When we got back to the dream we had time to clean up and then took a tender to town for a bit of shopping at port.

A couple of questions:

1. Are there bathrooms?

2. Is there any shade? How about chairs/lounges to lay on?

THanks.

Was just there 2 weeks ago. It is a TINY little island (like you can see from one side to the other) but very pretty. There are bathrooms and there are some covered huts with a table and a few lounge chairs at each. They also give you some bamboo mats to sit on. My recommendation would be to sit nearest the exit of the boat on the lower deck and head straight for a hut when you get off to ensure getting one of the huts then head over to your snorkeling group. Your belongings will be just fine, nobody will bother them.

Carnival has an overhead pic of the island on their website under the "Explore" tab labeled Snorkeling Wonders of the Barrier Reef
