What's your favorite lounge on the Navigator?

Recommended Posts

I think the response will differ by taste and by entertainment schedule. If you like the Latin beat, Boleros is cool and ideally situated near the casino and Royal Promenade. The Cosmopolitan (i.e. Viking Crown area) has a variety of entertainment including the show band (Jamm Inc.), the jazz trio and a jazz night with some of the singers and musicians from the production show. The views up there are neat, but again, it will depend on your musical tastes and the scheduled talent in that area.

For areas where entertainment is not the key, Vintages is neat. The wine bar along the Royal Promenade offers people watching and a great selection wines. Enjoy the Navigator, it is a great ship.

We took in each of the lounges on various evenings. As mentioned earlier, it really depends upon your personal preference. We enjoyed each one of the lounges because we went to them based upon our mood that evening. It also depends on the entertainment in each lounge as it changes from day to day. We felt the entertainment to be top notch in all lounges.

My favorite is the Two Poets Pub on the promenade deck. One reason was one of the bar waiters by the name of Opal. She was great. I think that she is now on another ship. The Viking Crown is second on my list.

I absolutely agree with this! We always had a great time in the Two Poets and they had a guitar player for sing along most nights. Nothing fancy, not very big, but kind of cozy.

We went to the Two Poets most often - probably because of the location more than anything. We enjoyed all of the lounges - there are so many of them that you will certainly find something that suits your mood. We're going to have to do a back to back on the Navigator next time - 1 week just isn't long enough to do everything. Have a great time Skitter - the ship is just wonderful.

I'm not a dancer, but I really enjoyed watching the people get into the action at Boleros; the drinks are interesting, too. We spent a lot of time at Two Poets--with Opal and also a couple stops at Vintages. If you like wine, you should go to Vintages and try the wine flights while you enjoy the music from Two Poets. No matter what your music tastes, I would still say do not miss Boleros--people there take their dancing seriously! (Several asian couples were dancing there which reminded me of the couples dancing in the parks and on the sidewalks in China at all hours of the day and night!)
