vwrestler171 Posted December 22, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 22, 2013 You can buy Cruise Cash from carnival.com and it will be delivered to their room. It is non-refundable so make sure they use it all.

I believe we also could have mailed it in or givien some kind of code to have it apply to the crusie itself. Nice present to get!
larronry Posted December 23, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 23, 2013 (edited) I think the gift cards or e-cards are better then cruise cash because should they for whatever reason cancel or postpone the cruise cruise cash is gone but the gift card can be applied anytime. At least this is my understanding. Edited December 23, 2013 by larronry typo
Gingee Posted December 23, 2013 #5 Share Posted December 23, 2013 What sailing is your parents on in June? We are booked in June on that ship.
Lerin Posted December 23, 2013 #6 Share Posted December 23, 2013 Don't do Cruise Cash, just get a regular gift card. You can get one through the Fun Shops and they can use it for anything on the ship. If it doesn't get all used, they can use it on a future cruise too. girlscruise2011 Posted December 23, 2013 #8 Share Posted December 23, 2013 I purchased the ecards for my DD BF and my nephew for Christmas for our cruise in a few weeks. I like the idea that I got it right away in my email and printed it out for them so I can have something to put in a card. They have to mail the plastic card and I didn't want to take the chance of it getting lost in the mail and not having it for the holiday. I decided the gift card was the best way since if its not all used, it can be reapplied to another gift card to use again. The cruise cash is non refundable. Not sure how much you plan on giving them as a gift but its definately something to take into consideration. I miss not being able to call and put an OBC on S&S accounts. I've done it each time I've sailed. Makes it alot easier and since I use a cash account, its less cash to bring with me.
Greysea74 Posted December 23, 2013 #9 Share Posted December 23, 2013 When my mom and I sailed on the Pride, in April, her cousin called and had money put on my mom's S&S acct
rosestar2013 Posted December 23, 2013 #10 Share Posted December 23, 2013 You also mentioned that you woudl like them to have the option to use it before hand for excuresions. Have you thought about a visa gift card? Can be used before during or after the cruise.
