Calling All Carnival Players Club Members

It takes 1500 pts on your current cruise to earn the drinks on us card. If you have accrued 5000 pts you will receive the card on day one of your next cruise but I called the players club and had to ask for it and they checked my point balance first and I had enough and they said it would be waiting for me at the casino cage on the first day. I am sure there is some threshold for other offers but don't know what that is.

I had just over 1000 points on our last cruise. (I only remember this because I got the $10 free play on the last sea day). My husband was just short of 1000 points, he did not ever get to the $10 free play. I emailed the player's club last week and we both receive $25 cage cash. Better than nothing!

Our first cruise was a 4 day, and I believe I had 600-700 pts, my husband probably about the same - I emailed after and the last cruise we received the "standard bon voyage package" which ended up being chocolate covered strawberries in our room when we boarded, plus a $10 photo credit.

We are low rollers as you can tell, however, we do spend time in the casino every day. I've been pleased with the extras so far.

Could you please show the email address you used to contact the Players Club? Thanks.

Amen, amen and amen. It never hurts to be nice. On my last cruise I got to know the pit critters right away. I jokingly said the minute I qualify for free drinks give me the card because my bar tab will be higher than my gambling losses. We were in the casino every time it was opened. We like to drink and gamble.

Well said, ditto your amen. It is incredible how nasty some people can be at the tables. I guess negative attention to some is as important to them as any attention. We had a gentleman (and I say that loosely) who argued with the crap table crew incessantly about everything. The next day we were at the table and I was offered a free drink (four day cruise, thus no Drinks card) and he went off on the pitboss, the boxman, the casino host and anyone else who would listen about how much money he had lost (completely irrelevant) and how he "deserved" more.

Dumb and dumber.

Speaking of being nice many times in casinos I would kindly tell the pit boss I know I haven't been here long enough to get a decent meal but anything you can do is appreciated. Usually they come back with at least a free buffet or a partial comp to a restaurant. In Biloxi several times I would get a $60.00 food comp just for asking. Yes it never hurts to get to know the pit critters and be friendly.

Friendly is the key. Reminds me of the 80's and 90's in Las Vegas. We were treated incredibly well for a long time, until the bean counters finally took over the town. Now, not so much. Off topic, but we were in Las Vegas in October and the desk clerk checking in told us she could not take a tip! The end of Las Vegas, at least as I knew it!

Many of you are saying that you called or emailed someone, or checked your past point balance online. Are you doing that through the Oceans Players Club website? I can only find a place to ask for my past win/ loss statement, not a place to check my past point balance.

I have a question that I am sure someone has answered and I probably looked over it but I thought I would ask anyway. How do you accumulate your points when you are playing at the tables? I understand the whole slot machine thing but wasn't sure about the tables.

You give your S&S card to the boxman (at the craps table) or the dealer (at other table games) and they call a supervisor to rate you. At that point is out of your hands and in the hands of the subjective observation of the supervisor.

I believe to earn anything at the tables Carnival expects a minimum bet of $25, and at least an hour a day of play, but who other than the supervisor really knows? I know my wife often earns more cash in the casino cage than I and I believe only plays $5 roulette, so who can figure??

As has been said by others, both my wife and I play for the enjoyment, and know what we can afford to wager. If we get something in addition from the casino, it is all gravy!

Yep it pays to be nice. My wife and I have a base bet of $15.00. We press our bet when we win and we usually keep pressing until we reach $50.00 a hand at BJ. We always play together on the same table. We took a seven day cruise in August of 2012. By the end of the second day we both had drink cards. There were a lot of sea days on that cruise so we gambled a lot. Like I said earlier we like to gamble and drink when we are on vacation.

We haven't cruised since then and had no plans to cruise this year but Carnival sweetened the pot to the point we can't say no. We are talking 35% off the going rate then $600.00 cash for me and $400.00 cash for her. Drink cards upon arrival. Priority boarding. Then they said get your best rate and call us for another 15% off.

We couldn't say no, especially since we are up $700.00 so far this year at the Hard Rock :>)

Remember gambling in entertainment. When it ceases to be fun or the money is coming out of another part of your budget it is time to quit.

We would gamble as much as we do even if we received nothing in return so getting all of the perks mentioned above has us really pumped for our upcoming cruise.

Maybe your wife puts more money through the machines? Who knows.

Ocean Players Club has treated me better than Royal (who does nothing for me at all).

I don't expect anything either, but it is nice to get it.
