Balcony Vs Outside Staterooms

This will be my first time cruising in an outside stateroom (on Rhapsody). On the previous 2 cruises, I had a balcony stateroom (Radiance and Voyager). Does the outside stateroom feel significantly smaller or will I not notice much difference? I loved having the sea breeze blow into the room in the balcony rooms but I guess I won't have this advantage in my upcoming cruise in an outside room.

The cabins on Rhapsody are quite small compared to Voyager and Radiance. We managed to survive for 5 weeks and got used to the space around us.

Under the bed is an ideal spot for those.

I find the full size glass window of a balcony helps to open up the room compared to a small window. You also get better views.

 

As for suitcases, under the bed or unpack and ask the room attendant to store them.

There should be enough space under the bed for two medium suitcases.

 

Our large ones were just a tad too big. We put one in the wardrobe and the other one at the end of one of the beds as we had 2 single beds.

have you ever asked the steward to store your suitcases, would they do it
