Inspiration Smoking Areas

Hi,

 

We will be on the January 20th 4 day and my travel companion is a smoker. I know yuck. The good news is he is as considerate as possible. The bad news is there are no balconies available and he will have to use the public smoking areas.

 

I want to book our Ocean View as close to a smoking area as possible. I have read that the "Lido" has a smoking area and that there are designated "Public Smoking Areas" but I can find no deck plans that show where these are.

 

Can someone take pity on me a advise which side of the boat, port or starboard, and what deck, Rivera, Main or Upper, will be most accessible to the smoking areas?

Hi Sara, while it's not "written in stone", from our experience the starboard side of the Lido pool deck is the main smoking area. There's also a smoking area in the Casino Bar and outside the Red Frog Pub (if there's one on the Inspiration ?).

 

As far as booking a cabin nearby, the deck itself really doesn't matter (it's just a matter of how fast the elevator goes :)). I'd look for a cabin mid-ship as they're usually under the Lido Deck.

I remember by Smoking=Starboard. The upper deck is the closest to the smoking areas. You can only smoke in the casino when actively gambling.

Part of the Starboard side outside on the Lido deck is smoking. Near the pool. Also part of the casino bar is smoking.

 

I usually book Empress or Upper deck close to the aft elevator so I can take the elevator up to the Lido deck, grab a cup of coffee and walk outside and find a table. Mid/Aft is good also. Take the elevator up to Promenade Deck and you can smoke at the casino bar. Part of the casino is also smoking.

Thanks so much! Booked into a 6c ocean view on the upper deck near the aft elevator. Really wish I had been able to get a balcony...
