HHI Cruiser Posted July 16, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2005 I have read several contradictory things about how often one can use the specialty restrauants. Some boards say that there is no problem. Others say that only the higher cabin catagories can use them more than once. Can anybody tell us what the rule is-- if there is one? Rare LHT28 Posted July 16, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 16, 2005 From what I understand the higher cabins... Concierge level get guaranteed 2 sittings per restaurant O/S get unlimited not sure on PH maybe the same The rest get guarenteed 1 reservation per restaurant You can try to get other sittings if there is room but you probaly have to call late afternoon to see if there is space but you are assured to get 1 per specialty restaurant. All the restaurants are good but the specialty ones are more relaxed.
mike35 Posted July 16, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 16, 2005 I guess relaxation is in the bones of the beholder. We found all 3 main dining venues (Grand, Polo, Toscana) to be very "relaxed", with superb food in each. We were in a concierge level cabin on the Insignia in April, and we had no trouble obtaining reservations in Polo (once) and Toscana (twice). The cuisine in all three was superb. For the ulitmate in "relaxed", Tapas offers a terrific alternative - no reservations required and a very wide assortment of salads, entrees, pastas, desserts - damn - I just gained five pounds sitting at my keyboard writing about the gustatory delights of Oceania!:D Mike
