First time Epic Questions

Read about Posh passes. How much are they? Difficult to get?

We booked a balcony gty. and are assigned 8010, way aft. Does anyone know if this cabin has an obstructed balcony view?

Is it ever possible to call an get an upgrade for a reduced rate?

We sail in 10 days. I thought I remembered stories of the "upgrade fairy"!

Thanks for any advice about the ship!!

I have not sailed the Epic...yet...but have done some research - first of all your cabin is not aft but forward - it is also a 'hull' balcony cabin - so not sure if you like that or not? (e.g. no glass on bottom to see thru - built into the 'steel hull' of the ship!)

See here for pic and info: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1522322

I think you are also 'over' Bliss lounge - not sure how noisy that might get?

I wouldn't take a room over Bliss if you held a gun to my head (thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa). I wouldn't mind a hull balcony to save some money, but things like being over Bliss (or under the aerobics studio on Jewel Class ships) is why I'll never book a GTY

I believe the posh pass was $55 per person. If the ship is full and they usually are, you need to get to Guest Services as quickly as possible to try to get a posh pass.

I, for one, would not get one again. We were not made to feel as if we really belonged there. There were conveniences we were told we would get but on ship we were told it was only for spa rooms (food from Epic Cafe while in Posh).

To each his own, but Spice H20 is fine for me.
