FirstTimeCruiser2009 Posted January 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2014 (edited) Hopefully someone can answer this for me. When I email Carnival, it usually takes 3-5 years to get a response. :D Does anyone know if the center of the WCMC has undercooked egg in it? I ask this because I have a condition wherein eating eggs by themselves (scrambled, pickled, deviled, etc) or even eating something that has raw/undercooked egg in it (such as raw cookie dough) throws me into a gallbladder attack that will have me writhing in extreme pain for 10-12 hours. I cannot eat eggs in any form on their own, nor can I taste raw cookie/cake batter that has eggs in it--that is enough to throw me into an attack. :( I can however, eat anything that has eggs baked in, such as cake, pie, cookies, etc. I won't be getting my gallbladder removed before we go, and I really wanna try the WCMC, but if there is even a chance that there is slightly undercooked egg in the middle, I won't go anywhere near it! If you can answer this off the wall question, I will very thankful! :) Edited January 10, 2014 by FirstTimeCruiser2009
yank268 Posted January 10, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2014 The center of the cake is uncooked. It is warm cake dough. Occassionally they do cook it more and it is more cooked but normally it is still gooey in the middle. Hope this helps.
jlindemer Posted January 10, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2014 I made this at home. It baked for 40 minutes. The inside was still gooey. However, I don't know if the egg wasn't cooked. It seems by the end of 40 minutes the egg would be cooked and safe.
kona_wahine Posted January 10, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 10, 2014 I agree, it's runny in the middle so not cooked thru. I would not chance it.

They bake them on large sheets - so the outside ones are totally cooked and the ones toward the middle have less cooked centers. I mentioned to our waiter the first night on the Splendor that I did not like the uncooked "gooey/runny" WCMC. Never saw another one!! Every night I got one that was cooked like a brownie/cake. ;) Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
avgsuperheroine Posted January 10, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 10, 2014 I have the same issue except I can't eat broccoli or pineapple. So I know the pain of which you speak. :). I would not chance it. You could lose hours of your vacation and the pain isn't worth it!
IGGY63 Posted January 10, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 10, 2014 Your Mai‧tre d' will be able to help you when you are on board. I would trust his advice over anyone in CS at Carnival.

MISSSNOOPYGIRL Posted January 10, 2014 #10 Share Posted January 10, 2014 I would consider eggs baked at 390 degrees for 15 minutes COOKED. My centers were just slightly melty. I attribute most of that to the gooey melted chocolate. I don't like it too liquidy. I agree, ask for yours "well done" not gooey
