jb1844 Posted January 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2014 Trying to find a tour in Belize. Or maybe just a little shopping and lunch in Belize.
Rare crewsweeper Posted January 12, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2014 Your wife will have to be able to climb onto and out of the tenders. They'll assist her but that might be difficult for her. how easily does she get up and down stairs? If you decide to tender over, the best shopping is on the pier or at the small crafts market across from the gates of the Tourist Village. I believe the Wet Lizard now serves food at its pierside outlet. The main restaurant is up a long flight of stairs. For lunch outside the Tourist Village, if you turn to your right and walk about 3 blocks there's a hotel called that has the Mermaid restaurant attached. Food's decent but a tad on the expensive side. If you catch a taxi, you can go to a couple of local spots that serve Belizean dishes, Nerie's and Anne's Lunchbox, close to the water taxi terminals and cathederal just past the swing bridge(Queen Street). Or perhaps have the taxi take you over the swing bridge to Bird's Isle on Albert Street for nice views and a more tourist-friendly menu.
