TheGaDawgFan Posted January 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2014 Does anyone have a picture of the birthday cake you can order? Thanks in advance!
TheCalicoCat Posted January 11, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2014 good question The one on carnival was very pretty. Chocolate cake with chocolate "ganache" & elegant white script & decorations. I am having a birthday on Grandeur & hope that the cake is as nice as the Carnival cake.
Toddcan Posted January 11, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 11, 2014 Probably not the kind of photo you were hoping for, but look in the foreground - that is the same cake. Ours just said "Bon Voyage", but it's the same cake ordered through Gifts & Gears. I now order one every cruise - it's very moist, and multiuple levels with icing in between the levels. It's very, very good.
cruzinlady1947 Posted January 11, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2014 This is an Anniversary cake. Don't know if the birthday cake is any different except for the occasion. Picture is a little blurry, but you can ad least see what it is like. This was on the Explorer in Dec. It was very good, if that means anything. TheCalicoCat Posted January 11, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 11, 2014 The carnival one looks prettier - better prepared & the dark chocolate ganache on the Carnival cake is classier IMHO. (not a cheerleader, I've been on many lines, I cruise for the best itinerary at the best price in my time frame.) I'm glad to hear this the Royal cake is moist - we already ordered one for my birthday.
jo24 Posted January 11, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 11, 2014 This is the cake I got for my birthday last year on Allure. It was delicious but very sweet. http://i1315.photobucket.com/albums/t591/joanna2208/P1020208_zps75e72b7d.jpg Please excuse the tea light fake candle.. It was our way around not having an actual candle ;) Jo :)
BearsAhoy Posted January 11, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 11, 2014 Here's the one I arranged for my son's fourth birthday on Indy in November: There were six of us; we ate half of it then, the second half we had the next day. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk, please excuse wonky autocorrects.
lorrdean Posted January 11, 2014 #8 Share Posted January 11, 2014 thanks for these pictures. I was querying the size the other day, these help a lot :)
TheGaDawgFan Posted January 11, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted January 11, 2014 Thanks for the pictures! Good to know that it tastes good. It's for my son's birthday. I'm not sure if I should have to sent to our room or our dinner table.

I'm not sure if I should have to sent to our room or our dinner table. They will make a bit of a fuss if you have it delivered to the dinner table - my step dad had this on his cruise last year and loved it. I don't like fuss or attention personally, so it was just in my room for me :)
