Staying in Miami two days pre-cruise in April....cost not an issue.....ideas? We prefer larger (not boutique type) close to the port maybe to see the ships and water?

Walking distance to shops and or restaurants.....,and ideas as to what to see and do as first time tourists in this city. Been there twice before but only night before cruises......this time I thought we should fly in a couple of days early and see Miami!

I think you have three threads so here is what I posted on the first one.

I will give you a few at different price points.

Marriott Marquis

Intercontinental

Epic Hotel

Mandarin Oriental

I tried to go from lowest to highest price.

For restaurants rather than going to Bayside which is closer you can walk (if you like to walk) to Mary Brickell with a lot more choice of restaurants. It's about a 15 minute walk to Mary Brickell.
