Booking a one way flight

Just one word of warning here. Against anything I would have told a client in my days as a TA, I once used a consolidator whose prices are shown on kayak and others. I bought not only our tickets but another couple traveling with us. Our originating flight was cancelled, no alternative given and we were never informed. If I hadn't wanted to check something online with the airline, we would have shown up for a flight that didn't exist. Then the company balked at returning our money and then tried to charge a service fee! After posting on the state's BBB website, all our funds were credited and I was, fortunately, able to book flights on my own for virtually the same price.

Check Lufthansa. You can get a one way MSP to BCN in October for $769.

I saw that, however that is on a consolidator website, which has had mixed reviews. The Lufthansa website itself does not have that fare and it's a codeshare flight so it's actually on United. I might just go ahead and book that flight on the consolidator website as United has a fairly reliable system, but it is a bit concerning about the negative reviews about the consolidator.

Good question about one way flights. It would not have occurred to me that there could even be an issue.

I am considering the 20 day Panama May of 2015. I would only need a one way flight to Ft. Lauderdale from Vancouver. Disembarking would be in Vancouver and therefore a flight home is not required. My PCC didn't raise it as an issue when I asked about flight arrangements through HAL. At least this was the conversation by phone two days ago. I shall ask more questions before I commit to anything! Thanks!
