lharry Posted January 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2014 I am taking a teenage friend of my sons on our cruise this year. I have checked in online and noticed that any minor has to be attached to our spending account (with or without charging privileges). The plan was for him to use his credit card for his own expenses (credit card is in his name) and we would go to the Guest Services desk once on board to do this. So my question is this...can he have his own account on board? Or does he have to be on our account since he is a minor? Thanks!
mandis Posted January 16, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2014 You can do it on the ship at the kiosk. You can also set limits so they don't overspend. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

cath32 Posted January 17, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 17, 2014 Just go to guest services and tell them what limit you would like. This is what I have done with my kids in the past.
madre2 Posted January 17, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 17, 2014 Ok..Ii am traveling with 2 20 year olds in my cabin. Exactly what does Carnival consider a minor? Under 18 years? I am hoping these girls can use their own credit cards.
fishinjunkie Posted January 17, 2014 #8 Share Posted January 17, 2014 My 20 something niece has traveled with us for years and she always uses her own card. I think she started at 18. Set it up that way when you do yourself braiding paperwork

So what I would do is go to Guest Services when you get onboard and they will tell you whether he/she can use their own card. Good luck!
mandis Posted January 17, 2014 #10 Share Posted January 17, 2014 You do it all at the kiosk using the adult's sail and sign card. They do not have access to change it if they are under 18. We had to set limits for my 13 year old sister after she spent $75 in the arcade. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

When I am doing my online registration before our cruise, do I include her on the account and then put limits on when we get to the ship? Or leave her off the account and do it all when we get there? mandis Posted January 19, 2014 #15 Share Posted January 19, 2014 You can add her online but you still have to get the limits on board. Be careful with cash they will still let you go over and send you a bill the last night Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
