cruzindad Posted July 21, 2005 #77 Share Posted July 21, 2005 Sagiter: We were on the same cruise with you, but had the late seating for dinner. We must have had the same waiter (Eramath?), because our waiter cut his hand and wasn't at our table from Bar Harbor on! Service definitely dropped off after he disappeared. As far as tendering at Bar Harbor, there was an announcement made that people who were not on RCI Excursions had to leave the ship before 9AM or after 10AM. We found that getting a seat at the shows was never a problem, but the dining room for the late seating was never more than 3/4 full, so maybe most of the passengers had the early seating. sueinphilly Posted July 21, 2005 #78 Share Posted July 21, 2005 what time were the shows for late seating? Were any of them after dinner? We're scheduled for late seating (always did early before). I hope I can stay awake thru the meal!

We were down by the tenders before 9:00AM which is when the incident that I described hapened. I just think it's wrong. The late show started generally around 9:00AM. There is no late show on the first nite. Also, there were no maps of the ship that you could have. The only thing they had was 3-D representation of the ship at the mid ship elevators (not the ones we generally took because of the proximity to our rooms. The Guest services folks said that because the ship just came out of dry dock they hadn't made them yet. This made no sense to me at all. Surely they knew what the map would look like before they were done :) . Neil
sueinphilly Posted July 21, 2005 #80 Share Posted July 21, 2005 how could the late show start at 9pm if dinner is at 8:30? I printed out all the deck plans from the website, so I'll just take them along with me. My bf always looks at the amount of stuff I'm taking and thinks I'm overdoing it. that is until he says "I wish I had brought ______" and voila, I pull it out of my bag. lojill Posted July 21, 2005 #81 Share Posted July 21, 2005 That is the key word dry-dock. They just came out of it and thought they were ready. I think they will fix these problems real soon. I hope they fix it before they hit Florida. They should have been fixed as soon as they said they were ready to sail. Even though minor problems would come up they could quickly fix them that is expected. But the problems you had Sagiter should not have been. I think you are just being honest what you reported is what you experienced. I hope you give them another chance because I have heard more good things about RCCL line than bad. I also hear a lot of good things about enchantment.

The show for the late dinner seating begins before dinner around 7:00. IMHO this is a better arrangement. The last thing I want to do is sit through a show after a full meal. Besides, after dinner is casino time.
sagiter Posted July 21, 2005 #83 Share Posted July 21, 2005 how could the late show start at 9pm if dinner is at 8:30? The show for the late seating dinner is early and the show for the early dinner is late. basically you eat early and see the show after and vice versa. bluehorizonlover123 Posted July 26, 2005 #87 Share Posted July 26, 2005 You can bring beer onboard. Just make sure it is in your bags that you give to the porter. Wrapped so it doesnt explode. Dont bring it in your carry on luggage that you have to get xrayed before you board the ship.
