SissasMomE Posted January 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2014 Hi - I'm assuming we need to take a taxi from the cruise port. Does the taxi drop you off right at the beach? My mom is having surgery, and a long walk will be a problem. Thanks
sail7seas Posted January 19, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2014 Isn't Morningstar at the Marriott Hotel? You may need a day pass to use that beach. I'm not sure but suggest a bit of research, just in case.
jimf41 Posted January 19, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 19, 2014 You won't need a day pass and you won't get one if you ask. All the beaches in the USVI are public even the one around the corner from Morningstar at the timeshare. You can rent chairs and umbrellas at Morningstar, just sit at an empty one and an attendant will be right over to take payment. There is a bar at the Morningstar but they don't take cash, CC's only unless you are a guest.
caribsun Posted January 20, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2014 There maybe a issue in getting a cab right away near the timeshares. We walked up the hill to the hotel to get a cab. I would suggest The Best Western at Emerald Beach which has most everything to offer for a beach day. EB has very calm water and MS can be rough at times.
