Almaplena reservation and payment

Hi all - I wanted to get some information from those who have gone to Almaplena in the past. How have you reserved and paid a deposit for the beach break? I received an email requesting a wire transfer to a specific bank account. I have never been asked to do something like this before and it seems a bit odd. It also costs $30 to complete a wire transfer through my bank. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you!

How exactly are you trying to make reservations? I was able to make reservations directly with Almaplena and pay my deposit through Paypal. The deposit was $48.00 for 2 of us.

The website I used to contact/make reservations was http://www.almaplenabeachresort.com/ I believe.

Something sounds fishy to me.

Hope this helps.

I received the same reply asking you to send the deposit or complete amount to Wells Fargo with a account number and routing number. I would think you could do this thru your online banking at no charge.

As far as the online reservation. It looks like it is used for the hotel portion of the resort. Can you reserve the beach day and use paypal?
