Cabin 9912 BX Balcony on the Breakaway

I just got my assigned cabin 9912 BX on the Breakaway. Can anyone tell me if this is a good cabin and balcony. Appreciate any other insights you might have about this cabin.

Well cabin # 9912 is a BD balcony. Did you book a balcony GTY, a BD GTY, or BX GTY? Or did you mean 9912 BD? Are you sure it's not cabin # 8112, which is a BX? :p The 4 BX cabins are deck 8 forward, with large side balconies.

 

Having said that, 9912 BD balcony, has a standard small 32 sqft balcony, cabin sleeps 3, has the Waterfront roof below, which IMO is no biggie, you are above Moderno restaurant so slight noise while operating perhaps.

Oh Okay I did book a GTY balcony and under my NCL account it states Stateroom 9912 and Category is listed as BX. Was this a typo on NCL part and should I contact them?

Not an error, unless you were told somewhere you were going to receive a larger than normal balcony, IMO. You could have received any balcony cabin aboard if booked Balcony GTY. Not sure why they are calling cabin 9912 a BX though. Actually it doesn't surprise me. :D Fwiw BD and BX cabins are the same size internally, it's the balcony that is larger in the BX.

 

Your assignment for a Balcony GTY could have been better, and of course it could have been worse.

Soooo how was your trip? We also signed up for BX unassigned/ guaranteed balcony and given this room which is a BD category. What did you think of your room? Any help would be greatly appreciated! We sail in 17days!
