restaurant for lunch in Cozumel?

We will only be in Cozumel for one day and want to eat lunch at one of the restaurants there. My boyfriend really wants to find somewhere that has oysters and shrimp (boiled) and I really want good Mexican food. Any suggestions of somewhere that might have both? If not can you recommend somewhere for good seafood? Thanks Christy

We have always enjoyed Pancho's Backyard which is in the middle of the store Los Cinco Soles. Be careful of the margaritas--they are powerful. Nice atmosphere and good food.

When we were there in April, we ate at El Capitan Navigante. Five of us ate & drank our fill for $70 US. I believe the address was 10 Del Sur. It is in the area of Carlos & Charlies, but a couple of blocks behind. it was recommended by our Dive guide on the way back to the docks. Hopefully they escaped much damage.

If you are on a Conquest class ship, fill up on the fried oysters onboard then go looking for Mexican.

I third that! The Cruise staff also dines here so that is a good clue as well. I think we saw a few officers and some of the entertainment when we were here. Nice atmosphere.

One of my favorite questions and here are four of my favorite places...

-the blue truck across from TMM (Touristico Pier) for shrimp tacos and tortas

(very cheap)

-Sabores on 5th (very cheap too...big menu and great atmosphere in families backyard!)

-El Moro on 75th...ask a taxi driver (cheap)

-El Morito around the corner from the museum on 6th (cheap)
