sns1009 Posted January 26, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2014 I've been trying to decide if we should book with Peter Trips to do their beach tour stopping at Big Knip, Cas Abou and Porto Marie. It's $50 and includes all entrance fees. Or should we just try to get a taxi as we leave the ship to take us to either Cas Abou or Porto Marie for the day? Is it pretty easy to get a taxi to one of these beaches? Is it easy to get one back to the ship when we are done at the beach? Would the driver, also, be willing to take us by the flamingo area? Thanks for any advice or opinions you can offer :)
Isa65 Posted January 26, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2014 Depending on how much beach time you have with Peter, I would say book with him. Going to Cas Abao or Porto Marie will cost you about $40 each way and you won't get to see the gorgeous Knip Bay. With Peter you'll get much more information, a private cab will give you more freedom, but both options will pass the flamingo area at Willibrordus. So, it really depends on your time in port and how much beach time you have. Taxis to Cas Abao / Porto Marie Beach - Plenty available at the pier. Taxis at Cas Abao / P.R. beach - you can pre-arrange a certain pick up time with your driver.
