Price Match

I booked a cruise for next January with the early saver. I check the price almost every day and already the price has dropped twice. I have saved $110 so far :). I was just curious what is the most anyone has ever saved with the price match? I was hoping it might still go down a couple more times since there is still a year left to go. Do they usually drop more as the cruise gets closer or is it just random? Thanks for any input.

We don't usually book that far out. (I like to cruise at least once per year.) however, last year we were onboard in April and booked our next cruise for December. What I noticed was that when we were further out, the price dropped a bit, here and there then all summer it stayed exactly the same, then in early October, just before our final payment was due it dropped again.

We booked while on that trip for the Dream relocation cruise in April. That price has remained very consistent so far. (It also seems to be selling out...)

I'm booked for December with Early Saver. I'm new to all of this. What is the best way to check and how to you go about getting the difference taken off your bill?

I usually check at least once per week, however I've heard of folks on here that check at least once per day. When I'm doing a "mock" booking I try to look at a variety of scenarios to see how many cabins are available for each category, which will give some insight to whether or not the price will drop.

When you see a price drop, there is form on the website that you can fill out and submit right from there. If you're before final payment, the difference will be reflected in your balance due. If you're after final payment you will see it listed as onboard credit.

I check the price using this link:

Just put in your information and then compare your price to the price listed for your category. I found my category on my booking confirmation email and you can find your price before taxes and everything on carnivals website.

If it is less use this link to request a price drop:

We cruised the Breeze back in December 2012 and booked her 10 months in advance.

During that 10 months we ended up (for 2 people) getting $520.

Just booked the Breeze again for December and hoping to get some more drops! :)

Good luck.

Can someone tell me if this is right? I was reading the Early Saver price drop form and it says that if you claim a price drop, any OBC I have will be removed! I booked on my last cruise and as such received a $50 OBC as part of the deal along with the early saver rate. I don't think it's right I should loose my OBC as a result of applying the price drop.

To claim the price drops:

1) Only Early Savers can claim credit after the final payment due date. It's a discount before that date, and OBC afterward.

2) You get the 'deal' offered by the new promotion -- it might mean losing the OBC that came with your original booking price.

3) You have to qualify for any new offers -- you can only claim military, seniors, casino offers if you meet the specific conditions for that offer. That is, if your friend got a casino deal, you can't claim it for yourself.

4) You can either upgrade your cabin or claim the discount, sometimes both... if you booked interior, and an OV is being sold for less, you can upgrade to the OV.

Best deal: 12 day Med, booked at $829, paid $599, savings of $230 per person (6 guests).

Booked last Sept. for this June 300 so far

What cruise was that and what category and how many pax?

I booked a June cruise in September and the price of all the June cruises I look at are always the same price or higher.

I didn't think it was possible that Carnival would drop Suite prices. But we booked less than 4 weeks ago for a June sailing and have gotten the price reduced by $250 on an Early Saver rate. This is our first suite on Carnival and we've been in Mini Suites on HAL. I'm anxious to see the comparison..
