Deposits

How much they looking for ? , our local agent took £125pp with another £125pp in eight weeks time , no balance to be paid 10 weeks before the cruise , I thought that was reasonable (although our land holiday with Jet2 was on £60pp)

tbh £125 sounds reasonable.....the last cruise i booked they wanted £500 deposit in shop (plus £20 for price matching)...on the website they wanted an immediate payment of £250 plus another deposit payment of £250 four weeks later followed by the balance payment about 10 weeks before

 

I guess why they do it, is because they don’t want too many people putting down a small deposit and then not paying up the balance a few weeks before they are due to sail...if too many people do that and they end up with a lot of unsold cabins they would have to cancel the entire cruise
