Enough Time for Dolphin Swim????

I'll be on the Oct 16 RCCL Mariner of the Seas cruise. They have the Dolphin Encounter listed as an excursion. I actually want to book directly so I can do the swim. Either way the ferry is going to leave at 8:30 am and the ship docks at 8 am. Since RCCL is offering it I am thinking they must have enough time to get there? Or maybe the Encounter is shorter so they put you on the 10:30 ferry?

I guess my question is anyone had a 8 am dock time with a 2 pm departure and done the Dolphin Swim at Blue Lagoon Island?

This one looks better than the one in St. Maarten so I'd prefer to do this if it works. (Alternatively, if you have done the dolphin swim in St. Maarten and have feedback, that would be great, too.)
