Krka National Park

If I rent a car in Split and drive to the Krka National Park, do we have to take a boat to the waterfalls? Do I have enough time to do this and make it back to the ship in a few hours? I see it takes and hour to the park on Google Maps.

Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated. We are not into tours or ship excursions, we prefer DIY. Thanks!

Yes, you need to take a boat to the waterfalls. You pay for the park ticket and the boat is free. Sailing takes about 15-20 min., if I remember correctly.

Thank you! Is there plenty of parking if we rent a car? Do you think we can do this trip safely (time constraints) during a day there on a cruise?

Do the boats run every 20 minutes returning from the waterfalls as well?

Yes, there is enough parking space. Boat goes every 20 mins during the season (summer), but you can go to the National park page and email them for exact answers. If you are comming during summer don't forget your swimming suit (as I did when I was there for the first time).
