is Karakter beach clothing optional? cab fare?

My hubby and I are looking at possibly going to karakter beach for the day. I cant find whether it is clothing optional...(No one wants to see us/nor do we want to see them haha) Also, are there cabs/shuttles to and from the Carnival dock? What would the cost be? Thanks so much! If there is a better beach area please let us know that as well:D

No it's not clothing optional. I have seen topless sunbathers there though even though it's on the Dutch side.

It's the beach before Maho and for 1-2 people to get to Maho it costs $20 so $18 would be my educated guess.
