andnosyd Posted February 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2014 First time on Seabourn in March and wondering if anyone can tell me what the transportation options will be to travel from the pier back to the airport. We are traveling with a child (it's a port intensive trip, so I didn't think she would bother people as we'll be off the ship most of the time), and thought it would be easiest if Seabourn arranges a bus, but we weren't sure if they do this or not. Thanks!
Jim Avery Posted February 4, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2014 Taxis are readily available at the port and is probably the best way. But then, we always avoid bus "tours" at all costs. It is a short ride. If you have time to wait, stop in at the Sunset bar. You will see people from all over with their suitcases enjoying a bit more beach and sun until their plane lands.:D
johnnycruise Posted February 4, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2014 Agree with Jim about taxi being better for 3 (as well as the views from the Sunset Bar ). Seabourn's bus transfers are more expensive unless it's only one person traveling. There should be no shortage of taxis. Another option if you have a late flight is a rental car. If you arrive at Philipsburg pier you will find several rental car offices on site.
kathy16 Posted February 7, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 7, 2014 We got off the Pride around 9am, took a taxi to airport, and dropped off our luggage and checked in at 10:30 (USAIR), and took a taxi to the Sunset Bar and enjoyed our time there, renting chairs and an umbrella, and had lunch, and then back to airport by 2p for our 3:45 pm flight, just having to go through security. Very nice way to spend the time... Kathy
