milly5959 Posted February 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2014 Hi everyone, we are Trevor and Denise White traveling on Celebrity Eclipse this November! We think we may pay the extra to have our evening meals when we want rather than set meal times. Has anyone else done this? Also what do people think of the speciality restaurants and it is worth buying that package... it is quite adding up all of these "Extras" I just need to know if they are worth it?? So looking forward to the cruise though
helpthejuggler Posted February 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2014 (edited) Hello Trevor & Denise, You may have misunderstood. Flexible dining does not cost more just to eat when you wish. It just means that you pay the service charge up front rather than onboard. In the end it makes no difference since you should pay the service charge (aka gratuities) eventually. I would plan to enjoy the main dining room experience first, but if you have a lengthy cruise it can make a nice change to try the specialty options. Look at the website where menus are shown. http://www.celebritycruises.com/onboard/level2.do?pagename=onboard_celebrity_restaurants_cafes Then you can judge if you wish to have a few treats. helpthejuggler Posted February 5, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 5, 2014 Not sure if you have found your roll-call. Should be in here somewhere http://cruiseforums.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=573 There will be lots of past Eclipse cruisers chatting away and making plans.
