Carnival Running Special - we booked months ago...

We booked our July 2014 cruise back last summer when there were no booking promotions. We noticed today on Carnival's website that they are offering excursion credit for bookings. Does anyone know if we called Carnival if they would give us the credit?

Don't know but just call and see. Anytime I see a new promotion I will just call them to see if I can save some money. Sometimes I do, for instance we got the $80 per room bar credit a couple months ago.

We just called, we don't qualify for this promotion because cruise needs to be booked between 2/3 and 2/16. She tried to find us a better rate, but the cruise actually went up in price so we have the best rate. We did book early saver.

Seems like they should have honored it since you booked early saver. That is the whole point of the early saver promotion...they are guaranting you rate will not be undercut by an offering at a later date.

 

You might want to go ahead and submit an early saver form and push the point a bit.

Doesn't matter about early saver with regard to this promotion and the OP. Even if they didn't have the booking window restriction, the sail date has to occur by June 30. OP's trip is in July. Plus the rate is higher than when it was booked.

We booked our current cruise on our last cruise and also noticed the price went up $300. Yikes glad we booked when we did. I was thinking we would see some price reductions.
