San Gervasio Audio Tour?

I came across this audio tour and book and was wondering if anyone has tried it out while at the San Gervasio ruins:

The review on the book seems pretty good. I noticed the audio tour is from 2006. I'm assuming things haven't changed much since then?

 

Any suggestions/advice for a DIY tour? I hear a lot of people talking about how they should have just done a guided tour. I'm wondering if a self-guided tour with the above resources would be good though.

I recently ordered it for an upcoming visit, listening to it ahead of time. Honestly, I'm not that impressed. Not much factual information but instead provides recreations of past events (imagine standing here and Cortez arrives type thing). I doubt I will play it while visiting the ruins and instead read the signs.

You can buy the yellow guide at the entrance to San Gervasio as well.
