Free Cabin?

How did you get the $100 OBC? I don't see that it's applying that to mine.

Thank you :)

I'd like to know too, stockholders credit maybe??

I too received the offer for a free cruise. I cruised Carnival twice, in 2011 and 2012, where I booked 3 cabins. I filled out the survey for the 2011 cruise and did note some disappointment.

After our last cruise in 2012 (I didn't complete a survey) we pretty much wrote Carnival off and decided to look at other lines. I booked NCL in 2013 and have Celebrity booked for 2014.

We don't gamble, maybe $50 for the whole cruise in a slot machine.

THAT SAID.....

I am super excited because money is very tight right now, but how can you pass up a Cloud 9 Spa Interior cabin on an 8 day Carnival Splendor cruise for only $288 for two people!!! I don't need airfare, can take a bus into NYC for $40 round-trip (no $300+ parking fee in NYC). I can literally cruise for 8 days with my DD, with tips, for less than $500, and that's throwing in an excursion or two for her!

Now I'm debating whether to upgrade for $140 for my beloved aft-extended.

I've also been looking at the Alaska and Hawaii cruises also FREE, boy wish I had some money to blow on airfare!!!

We received our $50 inside cabin (plus $50/pp OBC) offer via snail mail in early/mid December. I was skeptical but took it to work the next day and searched online. It was legit - or appeared to be. The cabins weren't available on all cruises but there was an abundant group to choose from for this offer. I took the chance and booked online - still thinking it was too good to be true. In fact, I even called Carnival after originally booking to make sure everything was good. And it was. I was giving this to my DW as a Christmas gift so I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to disappoint her. Then I started thinking, I wonder how much an upgrade would cost?? I called Carnival back a second time and was upgraded to a D1 balcony for $129 for an 8-day cruise. I was absolutely beside myself with excitement. It was literally the hardest present to keep to myself for those 2-3 weeks before Christmas. When the DW saw it, she began to cry. It was a great Christmas!!!!

All that said, we leave in 25 days (but who's counting?!?!?!). I haven't cruised with Carnival in the last 6-7 years, but I know we are going to have a wonderful time. I took my DW on her first cruise last year and she has fallen in love with it. I hope we get another mailing as I will certainly jump on it!!!!!

We met a lady in our Meet and Greet group that won a free interior cabin for her and friend. She won it through all the money she spent in the casino on previous cruises.

As we were walking down the hallways one afternoon we noticed several cabins with a 12" x 12" plaques on the door saying something like "VIP Cruiser" with their names. We figured these were the free/reduce rate cabins for the high spenders. The plaque does make a nice souvenir.

I received a letter from Carnival stating that I get a free cabin for myself and a guest. I would pay port charges and taxes and it would be probably the worst cabin on the ship but it has me looking at airfare prices. Anyone else get this letter and what do you know about this????

It is NOT from Carnival, read it again.

It's from Carnival.... I got mine and live in California. I just got back from a cuise 2 weeks ago on Carnival. Now I'm gonna try a big, new, ship! I can get the 16 day Hawaii for $430 TOTAL but I can't take that much time off at once.

Same thing happened to us too ! Don't know how we got lucky twice in a row but we did !

It's crazy good! We booked the 8 Day Splendor cloud 9 spa interior room for 2 for $288 for the cruise before yours on 6/17, I think spa passes for the week for 2 are $249, so I'm basically only paying pennies for this cruise!

Letter is legit. Not a casino offer because I don't gamble at all! I booked a balcony for $70 pp for Alaska end of June. I didn't get many cabin choices so I ended up with a partial obstructed view on upper deck of the Miracle. But that's fine by me, it a balcony, my first. Also, a $3500 cruise for $536! Lucky me!

My wife got her letter yesterday. If you get one, act fast. There are a limited number if rooms per sailing that Carnival will allow. I started looking last night and there were a lot more options than there were today, especially if you want to upgrade to a balcony. I booked our $3500 cruise for about $500. I'm pretty happy about that. :)

I really believe that selection is random. My wife doesn't gamble at all and I only do a little. Our reservations are always in my name and not hers. She does like to shop so maybe that has something to do with it.
