Liberty Questions before booking

Looking seriously at booking Jan 24th cruise to Aruba, Curacao and Grand Turk. There are 5 of us cruising together every year. These ports look outstanding and the ship has wonderful reviews. We just went on the Sunshine a couple weeks ago. Not super happy the service on the ship. Reviews are important to me now.

Anyone been on Liberty before?

What kind of 2.0 things do they have?

Big question for us, is Lido all non smoking or is one side of the open deck? I am just looking for tables to sit at rather being stuck on loungers on deck 10.

We were just on the Liberty for 2 weeks in Dec. I don't smoke, but I did not see any smoking on the Lido deck. I always saw the smokers heading up to deck 10. Don't know what was available up there for the smokers. There was one lounge that was smoking, and the one side of the bar in the casino. Also, the casino was smoking as long as you were gambling.

Love the Liberty.

Deck 10 is where I saw the smokers also. There were ashtrays along the railing. I hate smoke so didn't notice any on lido 9. Liberty has all the 2.0 I believe, guys, blue iguana, red frog, etc.

We had a great time on the ship. Great service, nice crew. Would love to do the south route. Next time I think.

On Liberty past Sept., loved it and booked again for May.

My husband smokes. I remember he only smoked on one side of the ship outside on the narrow decks above the pool. Never saw more than 2 other smokers at the same time. When on deck 5 the only place was the cigar bar. It smelled a little smokey but you could not smell it beyond their doors. DH also smoked on our balcony.

The casino did not smell smoky either.

We loved the Punchliner Comedy club, Guys, Blue Iquana cantina (both breakfast and lunch), the fish n chips, Mongolian wok and Serenity deck. And alchemy bar!

I sailed the Liberty in May 2013 and I smoke. At that time, up on 10 they had a handful of small tables with chairs where you could smoke (in addition to loungers). Smoking was allowed in nightclub and stage bar - both inside with tables. Must have been my cruise because there were a lot of smokers and we never had any issue finding a table.

And by the way, the Liberty is a fantastic ship, excellent service too!

Did the Liberty for the 2nd time in October and doing again in September. It is a beautiful ship even with her age. She has all of the 2.0 upgrades such as Guys, Blue Igunna? and the new pizza. You will love her.

Smoking can be an issue on the Lido. When we got our food from Guys a couple of times we had to move due to smokers. (I hate smoke) But I love this ship.

We love Liberty. I did the happy dance when she moved to Port Canaveral. We are doing a second round on her in June. See my review with many pics, if you are interested.

Don't miss the Huevos Rancheros at the Blue Iguana for breakfast... so good!
