Kaz57 Posted February 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2014 Hello! We're on the Azamara Quest from Puerto Limon to Miami on March 4th. We have been on more than 20 cruises so far, and the only cruise line we feel has disappointed us, is Celebrity. As they have entertainment before dinner, and no lights on the balcony, we have decided never to go on a Celebrity crise ship again. So we would like to know if the balconies have lights, and at what time are the shows as regards to main seating? Just so we'll be prepared for any possible bad news :)

You are going on a lovely itinerary. The balconies do indeed have lights so you can bring an included drink back to you room and sit out enjoying a moonlit watch over the sea - I am sure given that it is much cooler in Norway just now you will enjoy that. Evening entertainment is usually about 9.30 varies from cruise to cruise, but there is no main seating dining. Dining is at a time you want, you may have a short wait for a table, just as you do in a walk up restaurant at home but beside the dining room is a lovely bar for a pre dinner drink. We tend to speak to the maître d, tell him we are in the bar, and he times it to have a table ready just when we are finishing our drink. We vary when we go for dinner depending on whether we want to see the entertainment in the lounge or not, if we do, we aim for dinner about 7.30, if we are skipping the lounge entertainment and going for the later night "party" in looking glass or just to spend time in the casino (piano) bar, we aim for a later dinner We love the flexibility and choices Azamara gives over Celebrity - hope you enjoy

I'm sticking with Antarctica as the best. She didn't go on that one.
