Grand Cayman discovery scuba and snorkeling options

In April we are traveling with our extended family of noncertified divers. While we are very excited about this, it makes organizing the excursions a bit of a challenge.

I have three of them that have done discovery scubas before and would love to dive again while in Grand Cayman along with my husband and I.

But I also have about 8-10 not sure about diving folks that want to snorkel while we dive.

We really like to stay as a family on these trips. So I am looking for an operator that could accomodate this.

My preference would be from a boat for some portion of the excursion.

And if they also stopped by stingray city that would be a bonus. Any ideas?

I doubt any snorkel/dive adventure st Grand Cayman will accommodate everyone. Most cruise ship divers use Sunset House.

Contact them and ask what they can do for you.

Eden Rock is enroute to Sunset House, and is walking distance from the cruise docks. If you split up, it is a good choice for snorkelers.

I'm not sure about scuba, but for the absolute best snorkeling just exit the port and walk about 4 blocks to your right. You will see a large yellow floating raft in the water and a dive shop. Rent you gear for about $15 each which includes a locker and beach chairs. Moses is terrific and he will help you. He feeds the giant tarpons and they are amazing. Snorkel out to the buoys for the best viewing or ask him. The restaurant there is good but expensive. Just walk back toward the ship and buy a meat pie and soda. So good. Been twice and would definitely go again.

We booked a charter through them because its the only way we could do scuba and sting rays. They will pretty much do whatever you want if you book the whole boat.

Thanks so much I sent them an email..will see what happens

Eden Rock is my fall back but I'd love to get them out on a boat if I could. Would be nice for the ones that just want to watch.
