Working 2 Cruise Posted August 10, 2014 #52 Share Posted August 10, 2014 OK< what did reney313 get offered?? 33% of the lowest published fare, some OBC, and $3 deposit...
Harley0711 Posted August 10, 2014 Author #53 Share Posted August 10, 2014 33% of the lowest published fare, some OBC, and $3 deposit... That would be a good deal IF I wanted the cruise.. The ONLY reason I would take the promo like last year would be to move us up to Elite - spend money in the casino and enjoy Beer and sun. If I did NOT get any Future cruise credits on my last cruise in April, Princess would for sure offered the promo... so I bought 14 future cruise credits, LOL.. enough for the wife and I to take 7 BTS's - LOL>.. Hey, the money never goes away and I will use them anyway.. However, if the promo is offered, I will be first in line.

If I did that 7 times, lol. B2B - $1834 and 21 days in a Inside cabin,,,, would be ready for the funny farm at the end. I will wait for the other Promo... thanks for the heads up.. truffles68 Posted August 10, 2014 #57 Share Posted August 10, 2014 I just returned yesterday from the Island Princess sailing to Alaska. I'm not sure if there was a new promotion onboard or not, but we booked a short 5 day sailing for February which included 33% off the lowest published rate (past passenger, sale rate, etc), some minor OBC, and only $3 per person deposit. They called it a triple play promotion. It is only good onboard and for sailings 3-5 days on the West Coast and S. Florida from November-March (I think those were the months, I might be off a little bit there). I'm not sure if that will replace the promotion that they had last year or not. I'm also not sure if they have always had that promotion. If not, maybe it is a pre-cursor to try and ramp up bookings on the shorter sailings and hopefully they won't have to do the other. Is anyone aware if this is new? This was also offered on the crown. We got off the crown on Aug 2.

Dreamer333 Posted August 10, 2014 #59 Share Posted August 10, 2014 I'm guessing there will be a large percentage of passengers who do not redeem their credit. Similar thinking in the retail world... companies make money by selling gift cards, but many are never redeemed. With that being said, I did take advantage of the "free" cruise and I'd do it again if offered.
Harley0711 Posted August 10, 2014 Author #60 Share Posted August 10, 2014 You could be waiting a long time! Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I am out really nothing that I can not get back - In a 100 years non of this will really matter, LOL:o:)
jamminjim Posted August 10, 2014 #61 Share Posted August 10, 2014 (edited) To understand you,,, you were able to 'Combine' all three BTB's and put ALL that money towards ONE cruise? This is what I would Like to do IF they have the promotion again... Plan to do enough to bring the wife up to 'Elite status' She really wants the free laundry, LOL.. expensive way to get free laundry, lol If we can do this, I am sure I would get really tired of Mexico by the end... we are retired and would just sit back and relax and eat/drink. Now to see if they do it again this year Yes!! We used all of the money for our cruise to Hawaii with YOU!! on April 13th out of San Francisco Edited August 10, 2014 by jamminjim
