Carnival Gym/Aerobic Room for Open Use?

We are traveling on Carnival Victory in a few weeks, I have never tried, so I'm wondering if anyone else has any experience with attempting to use the aerobic room in the gym for a personal workout? Is this locked when a class isn't going on in it or is it open for gym patrons?

I have always seen it open when not is use by a class

its open & you can use it if it is not in use.

I always use the gym, which contains the aerobic & resistance machines, and it opens early AM and is open all day. I have never seen it closed for a class. I have always seen classes held in separate areas adjacent to gym area. Most of the gyms are very nice with good equipment. I think you will enjoy them. They do get crowded in the morning, so you can judge the best times once you get on board. Enjoy!
