Not getting price drop credit

We had been on a sailing during a hurricane and received 50% off future booking. We used when booking our cruise. The original fare has since dropped $300 and they won't update for us. They told travel agent once certificate applied they will not price adjust. Anyone else ever experience that?

What type of booking did you do? If it is Early Saver or Military you should get the price decreases. if other, than price decreases may not apply. Note also that there are stipulations attached to Early Saver so that if you cancel the cruise, you may lose you deposit or worse. With Military, you do no get any price decreases if they occur after final payment which is usually about 2 months before the cruise. Some times you can trade types of bookings. So it can get complicated and you need to read all the fine print.

it could be also the fact they got a 50% coupon/disc from the prior cruise. Read the fine print on that and it could state no further reductions. That is a possibility especially as weather is out of their control. I'm surprised you got one for a hurricane but I wouldn't turn a 50% off future cruise down lol

I had a 25% off certificate related to a cruise ship fire and I had no problems getting price reductions. Hope you can get it worked out.
