Smiles3usa Posted July 22, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2005 For me, a lot of the fun of exploring a port is tasting the local cuisine; from street vendors to gourmet. While I do like to be spontaneous for some of the eateries, for others I enjoy sampling family & friends recommendations (and/or Frommers or Fodors favorites). None of my family or friends have been to asia, our next vacation spot. Ironically, I think I have enjoyed folks recommodations more than the professional recommendations of the critics. Our eating habits are eccletic. Do you have a restaurant that you would recommend in the asia? Why would you recommend it? Please share. For information sake, these are the cities where we will be dining: Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai and Hong Kong, China; Nagaski, Japan; Taipei, Tawain; Nha Trang, Vietnam; Singeapore; Bangkok, Thailand; and Angkor Wat, Cambodia.
