CantSwim63 Posted February 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2014 Hi, If fellow Cruise Critic members (or other cruisers for that matter) want to share a table can MSC accommodate pre-cruise requests (and any advice on how to do this would be appreciated) or are these requests handled upon embarkation? Cheers! Raoul
Rare Cruisergal1208 Posted February 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2014 On other lines, our TA has linked us to fellow cruisers that we wanted to share a table. If that doesn't work for MSC, then you will need to visit the Maitre D stand or location set up for taking care of MDR situations once you are on board. AmoMondo Posted February 24, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2014 Best way when you know you want to be seated with others, is to get whoever you booked the cruise with to link your bookings. Only downside can be if some want an all inclusive drinks package and others don't. Those that want it can no longer have it as all choosing to dine together must buy it. You can also ask onboard by seeing the maître d' but that be more difficult to allocate. If he doesn't have a spare table, he can hardly start moving other people off of a table to accommodate extra people at your table. They will still try to meet what you want but may have less flexibility once everyone has been allocated their tables, especially on cruises with a high occupancy rate. That does make it problematic for linking reservations for dining.
