sea_u_onboard Posted May 10, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 10, 2004 Since our cruise is not getting into Key West until 3 in the afternoon I was concerned that some of the tours I wanted to take may not be available that late in the day – or I wouldn’t be able to fit everything in. Using a list of tours that I obtained from another source (ITT Ticket Center) I put together a sheet on some of the tours. If you are military and have access to the MWR on the Naval base then you can purchase the tickets for 20% off by going to the ITT ticket office located at the Beach Patio Recreation Center in Key West- http://www02.clf.navy.mil/keywest/MWR%20Beach%20Patio%20Rec%20Center.htm Please double-check the prices/hours - in case I had fat fingers or the prices and hours have changed. I would hate for someone to get there and not have the correct information. And of course all prices and hours are subject to change. Prices shown are retail price. Some links may give a discount price if ordered online. If you need more information you can go to the link and/or email address listed. Slated for demolition in 1958, the house was saved by the Mitchell Wolfson Family Foundation. The foundation is a non-profit educational foundation. This was the first restoration project in Key West and is still considered the gem of the island's restoration movement. sea_u_onboard Posted May 12, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted May 12, 2004 Thanks - but I did find out something I want to ***. After speaking with some friends who went recently - it appears that the ship itinerary may be 3 CT when in docks - not 3 ET - so that would make it 4 ET - so some of the tours will already be closed (or about to) by the time we stop. So plan accordingly. -- Cheryl ****Proud member of O.A.T.C.**** Check out my Homepage in my profile for Conquest info 10/99 Fantasy 12/01 Inspiration 03/02 Inspiration 03/03 Conquest Trying RC - Rhapsody May 30, 2004
bambam Posted May 12, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 12, 2004 Cheryl, We are doing a 4-day land trip via the SS Alamo . Your listing will be our guide to activities during the day. It has also brought to mind that we should get our visits out of the way before the cruise ships dock, and there will be a ship a day while we are there. Keywest.com has a schedule of ships, so we'll have to match them up... Luv to micro-manage a vacation, huh... mryan034 Posted August 14, 2004 #9 Share Posted August 14, 2004 This is great information. My husband has always wanted to go on the haunted tours in New Orleans so I am going to make sure we make this tour a part of our Key West visit in October! kal Posted August 14, 2004 #10 Share Posted August 14, 2004
...it appears that the ship itinerary may be 3 CT when in docks - not 3 ET - so that would make it 4 ET. -- Cheryl
Don't forget to allow time for the ship to clear customs. That takes anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on passenger responsiveness to provide immigration information.
